AI Engineer, Analyst – Data Analytics & AI

Salary: $80,000–$140,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Embed with business units, shadow live workflows, and identify practical AI use cases across alternative asset management teams.
• Translate workflow friction into prioritized self-service quick wins and larger platform initiatives.
• Develop and maintain production software using Python and SQL with a focus on quality, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Build applied AI solutions including agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, evaluation tooling, runbooks, and prompt libraries.
• Use Git, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, and cloud deployment technologies to ship and operate solutions.
• Lead multiple projects, deliver training, and transition proofs of concept into supported production deployments.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in AI engineering, software engineering, or data analysis, with fluency in Python and SQL.
• Applied experience with LLMs and AI tooling, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, agentic workflows, retrieval, or model evaluation.
• Experience shipping and maintaining production systems under real user load.
• Proficiency with software development lifecycle tools, including version control, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment technologies.
• Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, defining project scope, managing priorities, and communicating with technical and business audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Economics.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a financial technology team, especially in alternative asset management, private wealth, or fund distribution.
• Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar tools and technology stacks with minimal supervision.
