AI Engineer, Associate – Data Analytics & AI

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $110,000–$170,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Embed with business units, shadow live workflows, engage AI power users, and develop functional knowledge of capital raising, servicing, and reporting.
• Translate workflow friction into prioritized self-service improvements and larger platform initiatives.
• Develop and maintain production software using Python and SQL with a focus on code quality, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Build applied AI solutions including agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, evaluation tooling, runbooks, and prompt libraries.
• Use Git-based change control, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment technologies such as Docker and Terraform.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects, train technology and business teams, and transition proofs of concept into supported production deployments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AI engineering, software engineering, or data analysis, with fluency in Python and SQL.
• Applied experience with LLMs and AI tooling, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, retrieval, or model evaluation and benchmarking.
• Experience shipping and maintaining production systems under real user load.
• Proficiency with software development lifecycle tools, including version control, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment technologies.
• Experience collaborating with non-technical business stakeholders, defining project scope, managing scope changes, and handling multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field; financial technology experience is preferred.
