What you will do

• Prospect for new commercial insurance business through existing clients, program channels, target groups, and assigned leads.
• Contact prospects, provide quotes, schedule sales appointments, and service assigned accounts.
• Assess insurance needs by reviewing policies, risk management plans, property, products, records, and loss history.
• Collect detailed risk and underwriting information, including census and survey data.
• Work with agency colleagues to prepare company submissions and select suitable insurance markets.
• Develop and present insurance proposals covering coverage, limits, deductibles, renewals, and related details.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of sales experience.
• Texas General Lines Agent license in Property and Casualty or Life, Accident, Health, and HMO, as appropriate, or obtain the license within 90 days.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
