Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid role based out of Fremont, California, United States, with occasional office attendance, regular in-person meetings, domestic travel, and events. The role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.

Salary: $154,000–$187,000 annual base salary for California, Washington, and New York locations. The position is full-time, exempt, and eligible for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and operate complex full-stack software systems for the Servicing & Repairs digital portfolio.
• Lead architecture and technical design with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, performance, and customer experience.
• Build maintainable and reusable front-end, back-end, and database code for mobile and desktop applications, vehicle connectivity solutions, mapping services, and servicing products.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, technical leaders, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
• Apply software development standards including code reviews, testing, documentation, and interoperable system design.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers while delivering large-scale technical initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, with a focus on back-end technologies.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue, and back-end technologies such as Go, Node, Python, Java, Ruby, or Swift.
• Knowledge of relational and/or non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, troubleshooting, and software development best practices.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to attend in-person meetings, and willingness to travel domestically are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native or consumer-facing applications.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments.
• Experience building RESTful and RPC APIs and microservices.
• Experience with IAM or SSO systems such as Azure, Okta, or Auth0.
• Hands-on AWS experience with React, React Native, TypeScript, Go, or Python.
