Procurement Manager (Pharmaceuticals Construction)

Location: Hybrid role requiring 2–3 days onsite at the project location in Frederick, Maryland, with remote work for the remaining days. The posting also lists Washington, DC, US.

Salary: $108,000–$145,000 USD annually, depending on experience, education, and skillset.

What you will do

• Manage procurement and contract administration for architects, engineers, general contractors, and equipment vendors.
• Prequalify and shortlist suppliers through bid analysis and prepare award recommendations.
• Lead pricing negotiations using competitive benchmarking and trend analysis.
• Prepare, finalize, and administer contracts with close attention to detail.
• Onboard onsite supplier teams and maintain effective relationships with site and vendor teams.
• Develop global supply chain strategies, create progress dashboards, identify risks, and support production planning and supplier capacity modeling.

Requirements

• Experience prequalifying vendors and managing tenders for Capex construction services projects.
• Knowledge of Capex contract mechanisms.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences construction projects.
• Degree in procurement, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail, and a quality-focused approach.
• Ability to work onsite 2–3 days per week at the Frederick, MD project location.
