Lead Analytics Engineer (Game Analytics)

Location: Remote in Canada

Base pay range: 141,900–212,900 CAD per year. The role may also be eligible for a bonus package.

hirify.global Studios is Sony Interactive Entertainment’s game development division, creating console games and franchises while providing end-to-end game analytics services.

What you will do

• Scale the analytics platform and expand its use across hirify.global games.
• Build data models for new game title launches to support efficient and consistent queries.
• Design and validate in-game telemetry with game studios and data analysts.
• Expand the use of dbt and Airflow for game analytics use cases.
• Own data models for specific games, ensuring consistency and performance.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills with analytics or OLAP databases, preferably Redshift or a similar platform.
• Experience implementing and using data modeling tools such as dbt or SQLMesh.
• Ability to translate business needs into data model requirements and solutions.
• Interest in Big Data projects and technology.
• Commitment to quality and repeatable, testable, test-driven database development.

Nice to have

• Computer Science degree.
• Experience with Python, AWS Glue, Git, Liquibase, or Airflow.
• Familiarity with AAA game development and modern console games.
