Senior Dosimetrist (Radiation Therapy)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $161,500–$179,500 per year

What you will do

• Perform and supervise patient-specific medical dosimetry tasks supporting safe and accurate radiation treatments.
• Design treatment plans for assigned disease sites using 2D, 3D, IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and SRT techniques across multiple treatment planning platforms.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, therapists, nurses, and IT on target volumes, critical structures, treatment delivery, and issue resolution.
• Lead or support disease-site planning activities, clinical meetings, training, cross-training, and communication between physicians and planning staff.
• Integrate advanced technologies including AI-assisted planning and remote dosimetry workflows.
• Participate in chart reviews, quality improvement, clinical trials, research, and educational programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and completion of a Medical Dosimetry Program.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in medical dosimetry.
• Current board certification in Medical Dosimetry (CMD).
• Demonstrated leadership or management experience for at least one disease site.
• Advanced knowledge of treatment planning, dose calculation, plan optimization, beam geometry, machine and MLC characteristics, image fusion, contouring, and oncology information systems.
• Expertise in SBRT/SRS planning, immobilization, PTV/OAR trade-offs, heterogeneity corrections, and end-to-end plan QA.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Physics, Computing, or Mathematics.
• Programming skills for developing scripts and automation tools for treatment planning workflows.
