Local Trial Manager - Sponsor Dedicated (Oncology)

Location: Home-based throughout Austria; occasional business travel required

Salary: From €58,500 gross annually for candidates based in Austria, depending on qualifications and relevant experience

What you will do

• Act as the primary country-level contact for assigned clinical trials and coordinate local study teams.
• Track trial progress, patient recruitment, timelines, budgets, and financial reporting.
• Maintain trial management systems and essential documents to support inspection readiness and archiving requirements.
• Coordinate vendors, external service provider contracts, change orders, and service delivery.
• Support recruitment strategies, contingency planning, informed consent review, and patient safety reporting.
• Organize applicable IEC and Health Authority approvals and support audits, inspections, and CAPA implementation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in life science.
• At least 5 years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO, including 1–3 years of local clinical trial management experience.
• Oncology therapeutic area expertise is required.
• Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, ICH guidelines, and applicable clinical research regulations.
• German at C1 level or higher is required; good command of English is also required.
• Strong IT, decision-making, financial management, virtual team management, and occasional travel capabilities.
