TL;DR
Director, Global Communications & Public Affairs, Circulatory Restoration (MedTech): Developing and implementing integrated global communications and public affairs strategies for a cardiovascular care business with an accent on executive communications, stakeholder engagement, reputation management, and employee alignment. Focus on leading global communications teams, shaping media and social media campaigns, managing issues and organizational transformation communications, and measuring communications effectiveness.

Location: Hybrid role based in Santa Clara, California, United States; up to 25% domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $172,000–$297,850 per year, plus eligibility for retirement, savings, and long-term incentive plans.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement a global communications and public affairs strategy aligned with Circulatory Restoration business priorities and growth objectives.
  • Advise senior executives and leadership teams on positioning, reputation management, executive visibility, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead external communications, media relations, thought leadership, social media, and integrated campaigns supporting clinical evidence, innovation, and market development.
  • Direct global employee communications and engagement programs covering business priorities, culture, performance, transformation, and organizational change.
  • Lead communications professionals and agency partners while establishing measurement frameworks and analytics to assess impact.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Media Relations, Investor Relations, Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Commercial teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in communications, public affairs, corporate communications, employee engagement, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience developing integrated global communications strategies and advising senior executives.
  • Expertise in employee engagement, organizational and change communications, media relations, digital and social media, and reputation management.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, critical-thinking, analytical, stakeholder-influence, and team-development skills, including familiarity with AI-enabled and emerging communications technologies.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated healthcare, cardiovascular care, medical technology innovation, clinical evidence communications, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience supporting global organizations across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Experience leading communications during organizational transformation or business change.
