Spanish Linguist / Translator (Top Secret/SCI)

Location: Tucson, Arizona; full-time CONUS position with work in a secure facility. Up to 10% travel may be required to El Paso, Colorado Springs, the National Capital Region, Mexico City, and Tucson.

What you will do

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive Spanish-English interpretation during operational meetings, planning sessions, conferences, and interagency coordination.
• Support military leaders, intelligence professionals, senior government officials, and Spanish-speaking partners.
• Translate operational, intelligence, analytical, administrative, military, and law enforcement documents in both language directions.
• Review translated materials for linguistic accuracy, contextual fidelity, and correct terminology.
• Operate Sennheiser or equivalent simultaneous interpretation equipment and maintain translation records and activity logs.
• Protect classified information and support evolving operational requirements in accordance with security procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Level 4 full professional proficiency in spoken and written Spanish, demonstrated through DLPT, FSI, or another government-recognized assessment.
• Experience providing simultaneous and consecutive interpretation in operational, military, intelligence, or government environments.
• Experience translating complex technical, intelligence, military, or law enforcement documents.
• Current and active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
• Active passport required to support possible OCONUS travel or living requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Special Operations Forces, the Intelligence Community, Joint Task Forces, or interagency organizations.
• Familiarity with military planning processes, intelligence operations, and operational terminology.
• Experience supporting senior military leadership and executive-level government officials.
