Environmental Services Director (Maintenance)

What you will do

• Direct the Environmental Services, Maintenance, and Housekeeping departments, including programs, schedules, staffing, and performance.
• Plan and maintain preventive maintenance, housekeeping, building inspection, and resident room readiness programs.
• Operate, maintain, and diagnose HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, mechanical, and other building systems.
• Coordinate vendors, contracts, permits, inspections, audits, repairs, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain emergency preparedness plans, conduct drills, support evacuations, and remain on call for emergencies.
• Support capital expenditure projects, renovations, system upgrades, and outside vendor coordination.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping practices, regulations, building systems, and fire safety.
• Hands-on experience with general maintenance, carpentry, repairs, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software such as Yardi, DSSI, or TELS.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, perform physical work, lift or carry up to 50 pounds, and support emergency repairs and occasional weekend coverage.
