Trading Assistant, Analyst

Location: New York, United States

Expected annual base salary: $110,000–$160,000. Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses, equity, and other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support traders and portfolio managers with daily trade execution workflows across equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and multi-asset strategies.
• Monitor live markets, news flow, economic releases, and portfolio exposures throughout the trading day.
• Assist with trade booking, allocation, reconciliation, and settlement coordination.
• Maintain internal risk, P&L, and position reports and prepare pre-trade and post-trade analytics covering liquidity, exposure, and performance.
• Coordinate with brokers, custodians, operations, middle-office, and compliance teams to resolve breaks and operational issues.
• Maintain trading models, dashboards, and market-monitoring tools while contributing to process improvement and ad hoc investment research.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of buy-side experience.
• Strong market awareness across asset classes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate with precision under pressure.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks, coordinate across operations and compliance teams, and contribute to investment processes in a dynamic trading environment.
• Ability to support trade execution, portfolio management, operational workflows, trade compliance, and market analysis.
