Trading Assistant, Associate (Multi-Asset Investing)

Location: New York, United States

Annual base salary: $110,000–$160,000, plus discretionary bonuses and potential equity or other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support traders and portfolio managers with daily execution workflows across equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and multi-asset strategies.
• Monitor live markets, news flow, economic releases, and portfolio exposures throughout the trading day.
• Assist with trade booking, allocation, reconciliation, and settlement coordination.
• Maintain internal risk, P&L, and position reports and prepare pre-trade and post-trade analytics.
• Coordinate with brokers, custodians, operations, compliance, and middle-office teams to resolve breaks and operational issues.
• Support trading models, dashboards, market-monitoring tools, ad hoc research, and technology-led process improvements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of buy-side experience.
• Strong market awareness across asset classes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work precisely under pressure.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks and coordinate across operations and compliance teams.
• Comfort working alongside portfolio managers and traders in a dynamic trading environment.
