What you will do

• Integrate wires and harnesses into aircraft and terminate connectors, including coaxial cables.
• Troubleshoot faulty aircraft systems and perform continuity and power checks using test sets, multimeters, crimp tools, wire strippers, and related equipment.
• Remove, inspect, repair, and reinstall aircraft parts and systems.
• Conduct Maintenance Operational Checks and Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Assist Aircraft General Mechanics with scheduled maintenance and document work in logbooks and workbooks.
• Follow technical manuals, blueprints, Modification Work Orders, safety procedures, and DHS/DOD requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of aviation experience, including 2 years working with military standards and specifications.
• Ability to work in cramped and awkward positions, climb aircraft structures and work platforms, and perform prolonged physical tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds; heavier items require assistance or weightlifting devices.
• Ability to read aircraft instruments, technical documentation, safety rules, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to pass drug and background screening and obtain a government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining aircraft such as UH-60, AH-64, CH-47, C-130, EC-145, and V-22.
• Advanced wire repair experience.
• FAA A&P or FCC license.
