Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

Location: Toledo, Ohio, US; full-time on-site position

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 base salary, depending on experience

What you will do

• Manage and develop insurance defense and civil litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.
• Develop case strategy and provide practical legal guidance throughout litigation.
• Manage multiple matters while maintaining organization, attention to detail, and deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance defense and/or civil litigation.
• Active license to practice law in the State of Ohio.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience handling litigation matters with increasing responsibility.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
• Comfort working in a primarily on-site law firm environment in Toledo, Ohio.
