Senior Manager, Medicare Advantage Portfolio Strategy & Analytics (AI)

What you will do

• Guide portfolio decisions on product and service-area mix, growth opportunities, and margin protection.
• Analyze claims costs and utilization, including PMPM trends, comparison groups, benefit changes, and network changes.
• Evaluate the financial impact and limitations of Medicare Advantage benefit designs.
• Present data-backed recommendations to senior leadership, including the CEO, and defend the underlying methodology.
• Build agentic workflows, AI-assisted code-generation processes, and automated pipelines for portfolio and bid-cycle work.
• Support go-to-market planning and monitor AEP enrollment by plan, county, product mix, and member profile.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on Medicare Advantage data experience, including claims structure, place-of-service and revenue codes, allowed versus paid amounts, completion factors, and risk adjustment.
• Experience with cost and utilization analytics, benefit and network impact sizing, and defensible comparison groups.
• Strong SQL skills and practical experience with a large claims warehouse such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Ability to independently find, validate, model, and present data without analyst support.
• Experience turning claims analysis into strategy and defending recommendations with senior leaders and actuaries.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and collaborate closely in a remote team.

Nice to have

• Medicare Advantage bid-cycle experience, including benchmarks, rebates, benefit valuation, and CMS bid assumptions.
• Python and optimization experience using pandas, statsmodels, scikit-learn, clustering, regression, PCA, or decision trees.
• Actuarial training such as ASA or FSA, with a focus on strategy and product work.
• Fluent, practical use of AI tools in analytical work.
