Welder (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Read blueprints, technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and electrical schematics to plan layouts and procedures.
• Select welding methods and equipment, prepare components, and perform MIG/TIG welding of stainless steel within required tolerances.
• Use saws, angle grinders, calipers, rulers, clamps, and other manual or electrical tools to prepare and align parts.
• Install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Diagnose, isolate, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components in machines and equipment.
• Work safely with prescribed protective clothing and equipment.

Requirements

• Proven welding experience and experience with TIG, MMA, MIG, or related welding procedures.
• Ability to perform GMAW/MIG or TIG welding of stainless steel using prescribed processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals, calibration procedures, and electrical schematics.
• High school diploma or GED required; a technical degree is preferred.
• Five or more years of related experience and/or training in a production environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• NCCER certification, attention to detail, basic mathematics, and ability to follow written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
