TL;DR
FedRAMP Senior Consultant (Cybersecurity): Leading FedRAMP advisory and assessment engagements, conducting gap analyses, and developing security plans, policies, procedures, and assessment reports with an accent on NIST controls, evidence evaluation, and control testing. Focus on assessing control implementation, documenting FedRAMP test results, conducting stakeholder interviews, and solving complex compliance and risk-management challenges.

Location: Remote, United States; Washington, DC. Travel of approximately 25% may be required.

Salary: $85,910–$162,890 annually nationwide; $102,000–$162,890 in California.

What you will do

  • Lead client-focused FedRAMP advisory and security assessment engagements.
  • Conduct gap analyses and evaluate evidence against required security controls.
  • Write system security plans, policies, procedures, and other FedRAMP documentation.
  • Document control test results using FedRAMP-defined test cases.
  • Support completion of Security Assessment Plans, Security Assessment Reports, and Risk Exposure Tables.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, security boundary discussions, and control walkthroughs to verify implementation.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of experience in information security auditing, with progressive responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls, FedRAMP requirements, and NIST risk-management and security standards.
  • Experience with information security audit and compliance activities.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, writing, editing, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and travel as needed, approximately 25%.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or information systems.
  • CISA, CISM, CISSP, GCED, GSLC, CCSP, CompTIA Cloud+, CASP+, or comparable IT security certification.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service, cross-functional collaboration, and building trusted relationships.
