Salary: $120,000–$175,000 USD annually.

Company

hirify.global manufactures satellite products and provides end-to-end satellite solutions for aerospace, defense, civil, and commercial missions.

What you will do

  • Guide design engineers in selecting EEE parts based on reliability, availability, and manufacturability.
  • Review EEE and PM&P contract requirements, identify risks, and communicate implementation approaches to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze electrical, thermal, and mechanical characteristics of components, sub-components, and PCBAs to assess reliability and determine failure root causes.
  • Lead failure investigations, corrective-action proposals, failure review boards, and reliability risk mitigation with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.
  • Use reliability analyses, failure models, metrics, and Ansys Sherlock to assess PM&P risks and simulate PCBA stresses.
  • Manage PM&P processes, supplier flow-downs, subcontractor oversight, the PM&P Control Plan, and the Counterfeit Parts Prevention Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another technical discipline combined with substantial EEE space-hardware experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, ideally in aerospace.
  • Experience with EEE parts engineering, reliability, utilization, obsolescence, parts libraries, and failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of MIL, NASA, ISO, ECSS, and IPC standards, plus counterfeit-parts inspection and test methods.
  • Experience leading cross-functional root-cause and corrective-action investigations and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in engineering, physical sciences, or business administration.
  • Experience with Ansys Sherlock, NSPAR/NSMAR approvals, passive and active components, connectors, tin whisker mitigation, lead-free solder control, and obsolescence management.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, JIRA, Manufacturo, Aegis, D365, and PLM/MES tools.
  • Experience with aerospace customers, satellites, space vehicles, ground systems, mission assurance, and subcontractor management.

Culture & Benefits

  • Professional office environment within a satellite manufacturing company.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
  • 401(k) match and flexible time off.
  • Education reimbursement and paid parental leave.
