Cloud Architect / Solution Design Engineer (AWS)

Location: Dallas, TX or Santa Clara, CA; travel up to 10%

Salary: $147,000–$268,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location

What you will do

• Design, architect, and advance AWS cloud platforms supporting design engineering, software engineering, and R&D organizations.
• Build secure, scalable, highly available cloud-native infrastructure and modern application platforms.
• Develop platform engineering, automation, container orchestration, CI/CD, and developer enablement services for more than 5,000 users.
• Translate business and engineering requirements into scalable reference architectures.
• Partner with design engineering, software engineering, infrastructure, security, SRE, and operations teams.
• Support software development, EDA workloads, and engineering collaboration platforms in regulated environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of enterprise IT experience, including 5+ years designing large-scale AWS cloud solutions.
• BS, MS, or PhD with 12 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting organizations with 5,000+ users and enabling global software engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, container platforms, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and platform design.
• Experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, ECS/Fargate, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, Organizations, and Control Tower.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience in the semiconductor industry, design engineering, EDA, HPC, software product development, or large-scale R&D environments.
• Experience with global manufacturing organizations and cloud engineering platforms.
• Project management, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
