What you will do

• Design, optimize, and enhance cloud architectures supporting ESS operational requirements.
• Lead migration planning and implementation for on-premises capabilities into AWS.
• Develop scalable, secure, high-performance solutions that support rapid deployment and reconfiguration.
• Create automation frameworks, infrastructure-as-code templates, and technical documentation.
• Implement encryption, namespace obfuscation, hardened configurations, and other cloud security controls.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and troubleshoot complex issues during active operations.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of cloud architecture design experience, preferably with AWS, and 8+ years of directly relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, automation and scripting using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• Cybersecurity or incident response solution design experience.
• Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architecture experience, including Azure and Entra.
• Experience with Splunk, Kubernetes, ECS, FedRAMP, or NIST frameworks.
• Background in systems administration, DevOps, or migrating legacy systems to the cloud.
