Maintenance Technician

Location: On-site in Chancellor, SD, United States. Schedule: day shifts on a 12-hour 3-2-2-3 rotation, with possible call-in requirements.

What you will do

• Repair, clean, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment throughout the bioprocessing facility.
• Maintain boilers, cooling towers, water filtration systems, pumps, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, compressors, conveyors, centrifuges, fans, blowers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures, and correct unsafe conditions with management.
• Use the DCS and Maximo systems to operate processes, coordinate materials, document maintenance work, and manage spare-parts inventory.
• Operate plant vehicles and machinery, including telehandlers, loaders, aerial lifts, forklifts, tractors, and ATVs.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, concrete work, sanitation, and maintenance training for new team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Documented successful performance as a Maintenance Technician I or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Experience with equipment repair, fabrication, welding, cutting, boiler operations, water chemistry, conveyors, preventive maintenance, and metal or plastic piping systems preferred.
• Experience with concrete work, hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid processes, schematic drawings, and instrument or electrical work is helpful.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and the ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to work safely on-site in confined spaces, at heights of approximately 150 feet, and in temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees Fahrenheit.
