Senior Scientist I (Metabolite Identification)

What you will do

• Identify and elucidate drug metabolites using high-resolution LC-MS/MS, NMR, HPLC with radioactivity detection, and other analytical methods.
• Design and conduct complex in vivo and in vitro metabolism studies involving biological matrices.
• Develop methods, troubleshoot complex problems, and implement new technologies and processes.
• Serve as a study director, principal investigator, or project manager for metabolism projects.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, review calculations and records, and present study findings.
• Mentor scientists and contribute to SOPs, assay acceptance criteria, and technical knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• PhD with 3+ years of related experience, a master’s degree with 10+ years of experience, a bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Degree in chemistry, biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong experience in metabolite identification and profiling, sample processing, method development, structure elucidation, and metabolic pathways.
• Strong background in organic and analytical chemistry and extensive experience interpreting complex mass spectrometry data.
• Familiarity with specialized metabolic profiling software and MIST regulatory guidance.
• Ability to work on-site in office and laboratory environments with exposure to biohazards, chemicals, radio-labeled materials, and variable temperatures; appropriate PPE is required.
