Senior Data Analyst (Crypto)

Location: New York City, NY, United States

Base pay: $128,000–$162,000 USD annually, plus performance-linked bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and build automation across general ledger, treasury, accounting, FP&A, and other Finance processes.
• Assess current operating models and create business process flows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Support process transformation, technology enablement, systems integration, and Finance data solution development.
• Build dynamic data visualizations and reporting for management decision-making.
• Analyze Finance data, investigate issues, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve them.
• Build reliable data pipelines and support Finance data lakes as a central source of truth for reporting and analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in audit, finance, finance transformation, big data, project management, or accounting within financial services.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, including GL/subledger design and mapping transactional data to journal entries.
• Strong command of data wrangling tools and scripting languages such as Python and SQL.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Project management experience, including Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in crypto, prime brokerage, broker-dealer operations, or Big 4 professional services.
• CPA professional license.
• Passion for cryptocurrency, Web3, and blockchain technology.
• SQL or Python coursework or hands-on experience.
