Product Testing Technician (Thermal Systems)

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and modify thermal system test loops in an R&D laboratory.
• Perform hands-on testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Support the development and execution of product test procedures.
• Collect and validate temperature, flow, pressure, and power performance data.
• Identify issues, support root cause analysis, and provide feedback for system improvements and design changes.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and testing infrastructure while ensuring safe refrigerant handling and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• EPA certification or equivalent certification for refrigerant handling.
• Strong hands-on experience with refrigeration systems.
• Experience with hydronic systems, including pumps, valves, and glycol/water systems.
• Working knowledge of single- and three-phase electrical power systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Proven troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in laboratory testing or product development environments.
• Familiarity with controls, sensors, and instrumentation.
• HVAC/R technical training or equivalent experience.
