Research Scientist - HSPH (Biostatistics/Machine Learning)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with 2–3 onsite days per week

Salary: $145,000–$162,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct independent research or lead research projects in collaboration with basic scientists, clinical researchers, and biomedical researchers.
• Apply biostatistics, machine learning, and computational biology methods to pancreatic cancer research.
• Present research results and prepare peer-reviewed publications.
• Collaborate with external researchers and Harvard-affiliated faculty.
• Supervise research staff and contribute to scientific administration.
• Develop independent projects and pursue internal and external funding.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in biostatistics, machine learning, or computational biology.
• Minimum two years of postdoctoral experience.
• Demonstrated ability to excel in research.
• Major contributions to refereed publications beyond thesis papers.
• Evidence of leadership in scientific administration, including supervision of research staff.
• Availability to work onsite in Boston 2–3 days per week.
