Translational Project Lead Statistician (Biostatistics)

What you will do

• Own the statistical aspects of translational strategies for assigned vaccine development projects.
• Develop study protocols and exploratory statistical analysis plans, conduct or oversee analyses, and prepare clinical study reports with medical writers and project teams.
• Provide statistical support for new assays, platforms, vaccine targets, and translational studies.
• Serve as a statistical subject matter expert across research, immunology, biomarker laboratories, clinical development, and global project management.
• Develop novel solutions to technical problems, prepare technical reports and manuscripts, and present findings at external conferences.
• Promote statistical quality and productivity through teaching, appropriate tools, AI use, and compliance with SOPs.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics.
• At least 3 years of experience in translational medicine or a related field in industry or academia.
• Proven record of scientific publications.
• Strong statistical methodology and computational skills, with proficiency in R required.
• Ability to apply advanced statistical methods, conduct original research, and run simulations independently.
• Project management, communication, collaboration, and cross-functional influence skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bayesian statistics, linear and non-linear modeling, and machine learning methods.
