TL;DR
Project Lead, Delivery (Walmart) (Technical Delivery): Leading technical delivery within Walmart programs by translating architecture and acceptance expectations into executable standards, validating milestone readiness, and coaching consultants with an accent on enterprise architecture, dependencies, and delivery quality. Focus on evaluating technical evidence, identifying risks early, and aligning consultants, Walmart technical leaders, and the Project Manager around accurate status and release readiness.

What you will do
- Build working knowledge of Walmart’s current and target architecture, engineering practices, security expectations, release pathways, and technical definition of done.
- Map consultant deliverables to Walmart-owned components, platform teams, vendors, dependencies, and approval points.
- Decompose technical milestones into work steps, dependencies, review gates, evidence, and acceptance criteria.
- Review designs, implementations, integrations, test evidence, and deliverables before client release.
- Identify and communicate technical risks, blockers, dependencies, mitigation options, owners, and target dates.
- Coach consultants, lead weekly technical cadences, and provide evidence-based technical updates to delivery leadership and the Project Manager.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud, data, platform, infrastructure, quality engineering, AI, architecture, or a related technical delivery discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working within Walmart’s technology environment, including its architecture, governance, engineering practices, and enterprise vendor ecosystem.
- Experience guiding technical teams on complex enterprise programs and validating delivery quality across multiple contributors.
- Ability to evaluate architecture, designs, implementation approaches, code or configuration artifacts, integration behavior, test evidence, and technical readiness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into concise risk, milestone, and decision narratives.
- Experience in Agile or iterative delivery environments and distributed, cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Cloud, architecture, data, security, platform, or Agile certifications.
- Consulting or professional services experience with large enterprise clients.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering, including prompt quality, output validation, security, and responsible usage.
