Maintenance Technician - Night Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Hamburg, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite night-shift position

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including injection and blow molders, fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
• Maintain facility and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis systems, and water filtration equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
• Maintain industrial control systems and perform equipment modification, lubrication, and operation according to plant processes.
• Collaborate with operators, supervisors, preventative maintenance mechanics, senior technicians, and management to resolve complex recurring issues.
• Document repairs, work orders, parts usage, and materials throughout the shift while following plant safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a maintenance environment, in the position, or managing people or projects; experience and education may be combined.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process instrumentation schematics.
• Hands-on experience with shop equipment, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and industrial equipment repair.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments, work independently, and train others in a plant or machine-center area.
• Own toolbox and basic tools required.

Nice to have

• Six years of relevant maintenance, position, or people/project management experience.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics.
• Experience with VFDs, servo drives and motors, PLC I/O cards, safety modules, industrial communication systems, Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
• Experience with HVAC, chillers, air compressors, 480VAC and 24VDC systems, fabrication, and MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
• Associate’s degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, automation, or a related field.
