Senior Field Service Engineer

Location: Remote in Texas, United States; travel up to 20% of the time, occasionally on short notice.

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot advanced battery systems remotely and onsite, diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on system operation and safety.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for complex hardware and software issues and support junior team members.
• Manage third-party contractors and collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement.
• Document service activities, maintenance records, and technical reports.
• Respond to emergency service requests and ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, contractual terms, and service-level agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience; a two-year technical certificate combined with relevant experience is also accepted.
• 8–10 years of industry experience with utility, wind, solar, or thermal energy equipment suppliers.
• 5+ years of experience managing customer relationships.
• Experience leading safety efforts in an operational setting and knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and IEEE standards.
• Proficiency with Linux, Microsoft Office tools, and NetSuite; ability to read network, electrical, and construction drawings.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship is required.
