Slot Technician (Gaming Electronics)

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on slot machines and other gaming devices.
• Repair component-level electronic circuitry, troubleshoot ticket-in/ticket-out and coin machines, and clear coin and bill validator jams.
• Install, remove, move, and convert gaming devices, including floor upgrades for ticket-in/ticket-out products.
• Assist with firmware upgrades, hopper tests, currency validator calibration, and investigation of ticket issues and device malfunctions.
• Maintain equipment supplies, work areas, and public spaces, including cleaning and sanitizing.
• Provide customer service, assist and train less experienced technicians, and comply with Illinois gaming regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronic background or at least two years of experience in slot operations, plus at least two years of experience in the gaming industry or an equivalent customer service environment.
• Basic computer skills and clear oral and written communication.
• Ability to use machine test equipment and understand circuit-board-level electronics, slot technology, and computer programming.
• Must be at least 21 years old and obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications required by federal, state, and Illinois Gaming Commission regulations.
• Must pass a background check and be available for holidays, weekends, flexible shifts, and unusual hours.
