Component Verification Test Engineer (Electronic Systems)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; onsite role with 10% travel

What you will do

• Execute laboratory validation activities, including vibration and environmental stress testing to industry standards.
• Configure complex test setups and build custom harnesses, load boxes, and laboratory infrastructure.
• Document test outcomes accurately and maintain data integrity for engineering analysis and problem-solving.
• Manage Jira workflows and provide real-time visibility into hardware validation cycles.
• Coordinate with validation leads on laboratory throughput, equipment availability, and product milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in product validation or a test laboratory environment.
• Hands-on diagnosis and repair of electromechanical systems using DMMs, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience executing complex DVP&Rs with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Nice to have

• Experience with environmental chambers or data acquisition systems such as Dewesoft or SOMAT.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, SAE J1939, IEC 60529, or IPC-A-610.
• Soldering, electronics rework, and electronics assembly experience.
• Experience testing RF, GNSS, or sensing technologies and using Jira for Agile task tracking.
