TL;DR

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States; onsite five days a week

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 per year, plus potential equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

  • Convert food safety and regulatory requirements, including NSF requirements, into test specifications, acceptance criteria, and traceable validation plans.
  • Design and build automated test fixtures and rigs using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar platforms.
  • Instrument systems with temperature, humidity, and other environmental sensors for automated data logging and reporting.
  • Execute environmental, thermal, humidity, ingress, cleaning and chemical exposure, wear, abrasion, durability, and lifecycle/MTBF testing.
  • Conduct endurance testing of motors, augers, valves, seals, and electronics to identify failure modes and recommend design or supplier changes.
  • Perform root-cause analysis with engineering and supply chain, maintain lab safety and calibration, manage test assets, and publish test reports.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in hardware/product validation or test engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proven experience building test fixtures and working in a laboratory environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar systems.
  • Experience integrating temperature, humidity, and related sensors.
  • Experience designing and executing environmental and lifecycle tests, including thermal/humidity, ingress, cleaning exposure, and durability testing.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Pittsburgh office five days per week.
