Lab Sanitation Technician (Pharmacy)

Location: Pittston, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite

Starting hourly rate: $18.25 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare raw materials and support the compounding process under the guidance of the Operations Area Manager.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize laboratory tools and equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized laboratory work areas and dispose of waste properly.
• Monitor inventory, restock consumables, and maintain records of supplies and broken equipment.
• Follow PPE, hazardous-material handling, patient privacy, USP <795>, USP <800>, and SOP requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain pharmacy technician licensure, if applicable.
• Willingness to complete respirator fit testing and wear required PPE for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with delicate, high-value equipment.
• Strong visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and hand dexterity.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, and work in other positions for extended periods.
• Ability to follow safety procedures when working with chemicals classified as hazardous or toxic.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience in a compounding laboratory or kitchen environment.
• Attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
