Pharmacy Technician (Animal Health)

Location: Iowa Falls, IA, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $17.36–$22.55 per hour; starting rate of $22.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support daily pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist located at another facility.
• Receive, enter, pick, count, label, pack, and track prescription drugs and inventory.
• Proofread, generate, and apply drug labels while following pharmacist instructions.
• Operate warehouse and pharmacy equipment and maintain an organized, clean, and secure workspace.
• Handle prescription drugs, pesticides, and hazardous materials according to company procedures and applicable regulations.
• Interact with veterinarians and pharmacists, meet performance metrics, and document discrepancies, damages, and errors.

Requirements

• National pharmacy technician certification, CPhT, through PTCB or NHA.
• At least six months of pharmacy experience.
• Ability to pass the state Board of Pharmacy examination for certified pharmacy technicians.
• Good computer, communication, organization, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
