Senior Engineering Manager - Agent Experience (AI)

Location: Menlo Park, California; in-person attendance required five days per week.

Base pay: $264,000–$310,000 USD annually, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and develop an engineering team of approximately 15 people across iOS, Android, web, backend, and LLM/AI engineering.
• Own hiring, performance management, career development, accountability, and technical excellence.
• Partner with product managers and data scientists to define and deliver the Concierge product roadmap.
• Drive zero-to-one product features, including AI-powered financial planning tools for high-value customers.
• Represent engineering in executive and C-suite discussions, communicating progress, risks, and trade-offs.
• Establish quality measures, reliability standards, and engineering best practices for a high-risk, customer-facing product.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 10 or more.
• Experience leading user-facing products, ideally in consumer fintech, wealth management, or high-stakes customer experience.
• Experience building or scaling zero-to-one products in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Strong partnership skills with product managers and ability to translate business goals into engineering plans.
• Experience engaging with senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders in high-visibility settings.
• Familiarity with LLM/AI systems, consumer-grade reliability practices, and proactive quality standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulated financial products or wealth management, including tax or estate planning.
• Background spanning platform/infrastructure and product engineering.
• Experience supporting teams through organizational transitions or leadership changes.
