Senior Engineering Manager - Agent Experience (AI)

Location: Menlo Park, California office; in-person attendance expected 5 days per week

Base pay range: $1–$1 USD, depending on compensation zone. The role is also eligible for bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and develop an engineering team of approximately 15 engineers across iOS, Android, web, backend, and LLM/AI.
• Partner with product managers and data scientists to define and execute the Concierge product roadmap from scoping through launch.
• Drive delivery of complex zero-to-one features, including AI-powered financial planning tools.
• Navigate ambiguity and changing product priorities while maintaining team focus and delivery momentum.
• Represent engineering in executive and C-suite discussions, clearly communicating progress, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Establish reliability standards, proactive quality measures, accountability, and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering management.
• Experience leading teams of 10 or more engineers and developing user-facing products.
• Experience building or scaling zero-to-one products in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Strong partnership with product managers, including roadmap definition and translation of business goals into engineering plans.
• Experience engaging with senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders in high-visibility settings.
• Familiarity with LLM/AI systems and consumer-grade service reliability practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulated financial products or wealth management, including tax or estate planning.
• Background spanning platform/infrastructure and product engineering.
• Experience supporting teams through organizational transitions or leadership changes.
