Software Development Manager (AWS Lambda)

What you will do

• Lead, build, motivate, mentor, recruit, and retain a world-class software engineering team.
• Deliver highly operable and maintainable software for AWS Lambda at global scale.
• Define team vision, product roadmaps, and SMART goals for teams and individuals.
• Drive engineering best practices across coding, reviews, source control, builds, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
• Partner with product and program management teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Communicate technical designs, product features, requirements, and strategy with users, technical teams, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams and working as an engineer.
• Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineers.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
