Senior Data Scientist (Agentic AI)

Location: USA - Remote; Canadian-based employment is also available for candidates with legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Base salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year for U.S. candidates; $150,000–$200,000 CAD per year for Canadian-based employment, plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy AI systems for anomaly detection, event classification, ranking, correlation, and automated security reasoning.
• Lead the architecture and technical strategy for retrieval, ranking, vector search, RAG, and anomaly detection systems at enterprise scale.
• Own end-to-end AI/ML architecture, including data pipelines, feature engineering, model development, deployment, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Define experimentation methodologies, evaluation frameworks, and success metrics for product, model, and business impact.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Lead ambiguous multi-quarter initiatives, influence technical strategy, represent the organization in executive reviews, and mentor junior scientists.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling large-scale AI/ML, search, retrieval, or ranking systems in cybersecurity.
• MS, PhD, or equivalent industry experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Deep expertise in semantic retrieval, vector search, ranking, recommendation systems, NLP/LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI systems.
• Experience operating production systems with demanding latency, scalability, reliability, security, and cost requirements.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, and SQL, plus experience with end-to-end ML solutions and modern AI infrastructure.
• Knowledge of experimentation, online evaluation, A/B testing, causal inference, model validation, anomaly detection, MITRE entities, detection engineering, triage, and investigation.

Nice to have

• Published research, patents, open-source contributions, or recognized thought leadership in AI, machine learning, search, retrieval, or cybersecurity.
• Experience building enterprise-scale search, recommendation, retrieval, or agentic AI systems.
• Experience leading AI platform, ML infrastructure, or AI-native product strategy.
• Success driving zero-to-one innovation and scaling solutions to enterprise-wide adoption.
