Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Remote in the U.S., limited to the 48 contiguous states. A Dallas office is available for employees who prefer an office setting.

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Build classification, regression, anomaly detection, and other machine learning models from proof of concept through production deployment.
• Own feature engineering, validation, deployment, performance monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
• Partner with engineering to productionize models within existing data pipelines and platforms.
• Develop dashboards, self-serve reporting, natural-language interfaces, and agentic data products for non-technical stakeholders.
• Build LLM-powered and agentic applications with evaluation, monitoring, and human oversight appropriate for a regulated industry.
• Automate recurring analytical work, improve data quality and documentation, and drive adoption through training and enablement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional data science experience or equivalent, including shipping machine learning models and data products to production.
• Advanced SQL and strong Python skills, with experience using cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience building traditional machine learning models and managing their production lifecycle.
• Strong statistical fundamentals in feature engineering, validation methodology, and model judgment.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic systems, including prompting, retrieval, tool use, and evaluation.
• Experience driving stakeholder adoption, translating business requirements, and communicating clearly with non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience building agent-based or LLM-powered analytics platforms.
• Experience in insurance, fintech, or another regulated domain.
• Experience building internal web tools or lightweight frontends for analytics products.
