Mechanical Engineer (E3) – Design for Cost (DFC) (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Identify and troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Design and modify mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, specifications, tooling, and fixtures.
• Develop and implement processes for handling, assembly, and disassembly of components and assemblies.
• Define, perform, and document engineering tests and analyses.
• Lead or execute projects, develop suppliers, and generate mechanical product specifications.
• Coordinate procurement, manufacturing, installation, and assembly of mechanical components and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis, and/or Design for Excellence principles.
• Ability to communicate complex or sensitive information and build consensus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the hirify.global product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection, and manufacturing methods.
