VP, RCM Business Operations (Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management): Coordinating and optimizing end-to-end revenue cycle operations for a growing oncology and multi-specialty physician platform with an accent on KPI management, practice integration, compliance, and operational leadership. Focus on reducing DSO, improving collections, evaluating EHR and automation technologies, and managing specialty-specific billing, denials, audits, and payer risks.

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, United States; up to 40% travel required

Salary: $180,000–$230,000 per year

What you will do

  • Coordinate day-to-day revenue cycle management operations with the Chief Revenue Officer and other RCM vice presidents.
  • Develop and communicate KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadences covering days in accounts receivable, DSO, clean claim rate, denial rate, and cash collections.
  • Coordinate end-to-end revenue cycle functions, including patient access, prior authorization, coding, charge capture, billing, A/R follow-up, denial management, and payment posting.
  • Support the integration of newly acquired practices and service lines into a centralized RCM operating model.
  • Oversee specialty workflows for oncology, urology, and surgery, including infusion and drug billing, procedure bundling, surgical authorization, global periods, and modifier usage.
  • Manage operational risks, audits, corrective action plans, payer escalations, and communication with finance, clinical operations, compliance, IT, and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive RCM leadership experience, including at least 5 years overseeing multi-specialty revenue cycle functions in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience supporting RCM in a large organization, growing MSO, large physician group, or private-equity-backed healthcare platform.
  • Strong financial acumen, data-driven decision-making, communication, change management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work hands-on with claims, denials, patient authorizations, process improvement, compliance, and quality controls.
  • Familiarity with PM/EHR systems such as OncoEMR, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, or Epic.

  • Experience integrating newly acquired practices into a centralized RCM function.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
