Architects, Software Development (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native infrastructure using AWS or GCP.
• Design and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications handling tens of thousands of transactions per second.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing and deployment.
• Define and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code standards with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch, and AWS CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, promote DevOps practices, evaluate new technologies, and mentor junior software engineers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field plus at least 2 years of software development experience; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience.
• Professional experience with Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, OpenSearch, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Jenkins, Git, and Prometheus.
• Experience with Apache HTTPD, Nginx, Oracle WebLogic, Tomcat, Oracle SOA/BPM, Oracle OSB, Linux/UNIX, Ant, and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of STIR/SHAKEN, Branded Call Display, Rich Call Display, fraud call detection, spam call identification, and robocall mitigation.
• Role is based in Chicago, Illinois, with some telecommuting permitted.
