Principal Cloud Architect

Salary: $137,400–$233,600 USD per year, plus a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
• Define and evolve enterprise cloud strategy, standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Advise engineering, security, DevOps, and business stakeholders on cloud adoption and modernization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
• Coach and mentor architects, engineers, and developers on cloud architecture and implementation patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in cloud architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, DevOps, automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
• Proven experience leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives, with strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, Java, or a similar language.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.
