Head of Group Benefits Business Risk & Resiliency (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Preferred locations: Hudson Yards, New York City; Bethlehem, PA; Holmdel, NJ; Boston, MA; Pittsfield, MA; or Stamford, CT. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $132,420–$217,545 base pay, with potential eligibility for additional incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Execute the Group Benefits risk and resiliency program in alignment with enterprise standards, advising business leadership and facilitating recurring Risk Working Groups.
• Assess risks at the line-of-business and process levels, coordinate with process owners and risk partners, and track remediation actions.
• Develop and maintain business continuity plans and resiliency solutions for critical dependencies, including regular testing.
• Coordinate business activities related to disaster recovery and crisis management.
• Own the Group Benefits risk register in ServiceNow, including reporting standards, risk self-identification, and data quality.
• Aggregate risk data across technology, cyber, data, model, compliance, and third-party domains to identify trends, assess risk appetite alignment, and support governance decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operational risk management or a related risk discipline within financial services.
• Insurance experience is preferred; Group Benefits experience may substitute for other experience.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, prioritization, and resourcefulness skills.
• Confident leadership, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to provide independent challenge, clear risk insights, and pragmatic trade-off perspectives.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship is required.
