Director, Risk Management

Location: Hybrid Flex in Durham, United States; at least two days per week in the office. Candidates from outside the local area may be considered if located in an eligible state listed on the posting.

Salary: $157,978–$252,765 per year, plus an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the organization’s enterprise risk management framework and provide risk management support across the business.
• Lead the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, including enterprise risk assessment, stress testing, and the annual ORSA report.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership, risk committees, and the Board.
• Monitor risk appetite metrics, key risk indicators, emerging risks, and relevant regulatory, industry, and health care trends.
• Coordinate reviews of risk appetite statements, policies, and governance practices.
• Lead corporate insurance and captive management programs while promoting risk awareness through education and consultation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, or business administration, or 12+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in risk management and consulting or public accounting.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience.
• CRM, CRMA, ARM, or CPA certification.
• Ability to work in a Hybrid Flex arrangement with at least two days per week in the Durham office.
