Vice President, Global Record to Report (Accounting Operations)

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; hybrid, generally requiring office attendance at least three days per week

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 annually, plus long-term incentive and bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead the global Record to Report function and define its future-state operating model across centralized accounting, business segments, shared services, and outsourced delivery.
• Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, cash and treasury accounting, compensation and benefits accounting, close coordination, and reporting support.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close execution across Corporate Accounting, Consolidations, Technical Accounting, and business-unit Controllership.
• Own service delivery governance for onshore, offshore, and BPO resources, including provider performance, SLAs, KPIs, issue escalation, and workload planning.
• Lead R2R transformation through ERP modernization, process redesign, automation, centralization, and adoption of close-management technologies.
• Build and develop a high-performing global organization while partnering with Finance, Treasury, Technology, Audit, Compliance, Tax, Legal, and business-unit leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in controllership, corporate accounting, shared services, accounting operations, or Record to Report functions.
• Significant experience leading complex global R2R or accounting operations teams in a matrixed environment.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls, internal control frameworks, audit readiness, and close governance.
• Experience managing third-party BPO, shared-service, offshore, or outsourced accounting providers.
• Strong systems knowledge across SAP ECC, BlackLine, Promenta, ERP, reconciliation, and workflow platforms, plus executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced accounting or business credential.
• Experience in media, entertainment, digital, advertising, news networks, streaming, or technology.
• Experience with spin-offs, IPO readiness, carve-outs, post-merger integration, newly public companies, or standalone accounting operations.
• Experience with BlackLine transaction matching, reconciliation automation, journal entry workflow, or AI-enabled finance operations tools.
• International accounting operations experience with globally distributed teams and service providers.
