Construction Repair Technician

Location: Lafayette, Colorado; primarily field-based at construction job sites, with 80% local travel from Colorado Springs to Wyoming. No overnight travel required.

Hourly pay: $22.00–$28.00, depending on experience.

UFP Site Built designs and manufactures value-added wood and non-wood structural products for the construction industry, including wood components, aluminum decks and rails, and light-gauge steel components.

What you will do

• Perform on-site repairs on wood-framed walls, floors, trusses, and other framing components.
• Diagnose construction issues and determine appropriate repair solutions in the field.
• Complete time-sensitive deliveries of materials, tools, and components to job sites.
• Assess issues with customers, superintendents, and project stakeholders and communicate repair plans.
• Document repairs, materials used, and job-site conditions while coordinating with operations, sales, and dispatch.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles and follow PPE, quality, building-code, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in wood-framed construction, carpentry, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of framing methods and construction practices.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and safely navigate active construction sites.
• Ability to work outdoors, stand, bend, climb, work independently, and respond to changing priorities.
