Localization Program Manager

Location: San Francisco, Irvine, or Seattle, United States

Salary: $74,200–$129,800, $81,600–$142,800, or $82,700–$129,800 USD annually, depending on location.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end localization launches across 29 languages, including creative asset localization, terminology building, and testing.
• Monitor continuous localization operations and identify opportunities to improve workflows.
• Run localization quality processes, coordinate testing, and build LQA workflows.
• Improve translation quality by developing and maintaining linguistic assets.
• Influence upstream content operations to enable context-rich translations.
• Build reports covering turnaround time, quality scores, and cost per word.

Requirements

• 5+ years of localization project or program management experience.
• Experience managing stakeholders and cross-organizational dependencies.
• Experience with enterprise localization tools and translation management platforms such as Smartling, memoQ, Phrase, or similar.
• Experience developing and maintaining linguistic assets and workflows.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Native speaker of one additional language.

Nice to have

• Native French, German, Chinese, or Japanese.
• Experience designing scalable localization processes and technical automation.
• Experience building localization programs from scratch or transforming existing programs.
• Experience evaluating machine translation or LLM quality in production workflows.
• Understanding of localization metrics and data manipulation.
