Director, Ecommerce Product Design (AI)

Location: Boston, MA; hybrid work with two core in-office days each week

Annual base pay: $212,300–$283,000, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set the vision and roadmap for the end-to-end ecommerce experience on hirify.global.com.
• Lead the CMS and front-end overhaul by establishing ecommerce design system strategy, component standards, documentation, governance, and design-to-code handoff.
• Identify, pilot, and scale AI tools for ideation, prototyping, content generation, research, synthesis, and testing.
• Build, coach, and grow a team of product designers and researchers while raising design craft and delivery velocity.
• Partner with Growth, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Brand, and other design teams to influence product strategy and align design with development.
• Drive research- and experimentation-led design decisions focused on measurable customer and business outcomes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of digital product design experience, ideally including significant D2C or ecommerce experience.
• 5+ years leading and growing in-house product design and research teams, including managers or senior individual contributors.
• Experience building, scaling, or governing design systems and connecting design processes with front-end development.
• Practical experience integrating AI tools into design workflows and enabling responsible team adoption.
• Experience setting design vision, influencing product strategy, and delivering data-informed UX in experimentation-focused environments.
• Advanced Figma skills, familiarity with modern prototyping and AI-assisted design tools, WCAG knowledge, strong communication skills, and a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design leadership.
