Associate Director EHS (Environmental Health & Safety)

Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas, United States; onsite facility role

Salary: $152,000–$220,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Develop and execute site-wide EHS strategies aligned with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the EHS subject matter expert for hazardous chemical management and ethylene oxide sterilization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop EHS staff and cross-functional teams.
• Manage compliance programs covering OSHA, EPA, FIFRA, NESHAP, permits, hazardous waste, air emissions, wastewater, TRI reporting, and stormwater.
• Implement safety programs including LOTO, confined space, PPE, hazard communication, emergency preparedness, and spill response.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, CAPA, safety committees, employee engagement, and EHS metrics reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8–12+ years of progressive EHS experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing regulatory compliance programs, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory agency relationships.
• Strong data analysis, reporting, problem-solving, risk assessment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Expertise in industrial hygiene and hazardous chemical exposure controls.
• Knowledge of EHS management systems; ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, or similar.
