OnSite Environmental Technician II-2

Location: Bethesda, MD, USA; on-site work at customer facilities

Pay range: $23.40–$32.17 per hour, depending on the locality of hire.

What you will do

• Collect, identify, package, label, and properly manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Make waste pickups throughout customer facilities and perform chemical bulking and consolidation.
• Participate in spill response activities at customer sites.
• Operate forklifts, sweepers, pallet jacks, and other heavy or light equipment.
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Safely load and unload waste hauling vehicles and complete waste stream sampling and profiling.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training after hire.
• Ability to use heavy and light equipment, hand tools, shop tools, and instruments.
• Accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
